We are passionate about what we do and on improving our operation each and every day.

Meet Your Rancher: The Mershons

Give a brief description of your farming operation.

Mershon Cattle is a crossbred commercial beef operation based in Buckner, MO. We raise Angus based cows that are bred to Hereford, Charolais and Simmental bulls for highly efficient, high performance calves. Our roots run deep in Missouri agriculture. Eli Mershon settled in the Fort Osage area of Jackson County in 1865 and shortly thereafter purchased his first 160 acres of land. The family has farmed continuously ever since, and the original farm is a designated Missouri Century Farm. Bruce and Tracey Mershon have owned cattle since 1993, and launched Mershon Cattle LLC in 2012.
