Tom Crouse, a rural northwest Missouri native, is on the road several months of the year competing in rodeos across the western United States. Tom's protein of choice is beef - keeping him fueled up to perform his best after a long day.
From small-town in Northwest Missouri, Tom Crouse is living his dream on the PRCA circuit. Learn more about Tom, how he fuels with beef, and where you can find him in action below!
Tom Crouse is a 23-year-old from the small rural town of Gallatin, MO, who's family has been involved in the cattle industry since the 1960s. His grandfather started their ranch on the South side of Gallatin and shared his love of the land and industry with the family.
Tom grew up taking care of cattle from the time he could walk. In preschool, Tom would go with his dad to feed cattle and work on the ranch throughout the morning before heading in to town for school. Tom speaks on those memories fondly, saying "I learned, after all those years of watching my dad, that it doesn't matter what the weather is doing, how you're feeling, what things may be going on in your life, good or bad, you still have to show up and take care of your animals."
Tom's parents were both involved in rodeo, so that naturally became a part of his everyday world, too. The family would work on the ranch throughout the week and traveled to rodeos on the weekends. Tom truly enjoys roping and competing at a high level and has aspirations to make the National Finals Rodeo in the near future. Tom's protein of choice is Beef because he considers it to be the best tasting meat to choose from… and who can turn down a good steak! Because he raises beef cattle himself, he knows all the hard work that goes into ensuring the beef that ends up on everyone's plate is the highest possible quality possible. This confidence comes from programs like Beef Quality Assurance (BQA), a program for producers, by producers that focuses on good management practices and safe animal handling.
Tom has a stove top in the living quarters of his horse trailer and thoroughly enjoys cooking a steak or a hamburger for supper just hours before he competes. Beef helps Tom compete at a high level and feel his best when in the arena.
