What We Do

The MBIC is part of a coordinated state/national effort funded and controlled by beef producers who are assessed $1-per-head each time a beef animal is sold. Half of each dollar is forwarded to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB) and the other half of the dollar is retained by the Missouri Beef Industry Council to fund state-based programs, which complement and extend the industry-wide effort.

Meet Missouri Beef Industry Council's Leadership

Meet Missouri Beef Industry Council's Leadership The work undertaken by Missouri Beef Industry Council is guided by industry leaders representing every segment of the Missouri Cattle industry. These individuals on the Missouri board are nominated by their respective organizations and appointed by the Governor of Missouri to give voice, expertise and perspective to the needs of Missouri cattle ranchers, farmers and beef producers.

The Missouri Beef Industry Council staff proudly serves Missouri's cattle farmers and ranchers through education, promotion and community engagement to demonstrate the value of the beef industry in Missouri. We also engage in activities that demonstrate that not only is beef delicious, but it's also a powerful ally in building healthy bodies, thriving communities and a strong economy for Missouri.
