A Full Calendar for a Successful Beef Month in Missouri

Beef Month in Missouri kicked off a few days early on April 28th, when Governor Mike Kehoe officially proclaimed May as Beef Month in the state. The celebration began at Missouri’s State Capitol, where members and staff from the Missouri Beef Industry Council (MBIC), Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, and Missouri Department of Agriculture gathered to commemorate the proclamation.

On May 2nd, the MBIC Farm Team hosted a Ford Plaza takeover, engaging consumers with interactive games and sharing the pasture-to-plate story—an outreach effort that proved to be a great success. The momentum continued into the following week with a special appearance at Boone County Cattlemen’s Day on the Farm event, where MBIC connected with inner-city elementary students through a fun and educational session focused on the health benefits of beef.

Later in the week, on May 9th, MBIC had a strong presence at the Missouri Beef Days Rodeo in Bolivar, MO. Conversations centered around beef drew enthusiastic attention—especially with special guest PRCA Calf Roper Tom Crouse stopping by the booth.

On May 14th, MBIC joined long-time partner the American Heart Association for a Circle of Red event. The evening emphasized incorporating beef into a heart-healthy lifestyle, showcasing the nutritional value of beef in a balanced diet.

While our teams were busy at in-person events, MBIC also ran multiple Beef Month campaigns across digital media platforms, ensuring the message reached consumers throughout the state. In addition to our larger events, we proudly supported numerous local promotions and educational activities through our grant programs.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make May a successful and impactful Beef Month in Missouri—thank you for your support and dedication!
