RDN2B Funding Application
Purpose:
To support Dietetic students and interns carry out a portion of their required demonstrations. The Missouri Beef Industry Council (MBIC) offers reimbursement for the cost of ingredients needed to conduct the nutrition education presentation using beef. This effort is made possible by Missouri cattle farmers and ranchers, through the $1 per head beef checkoff. This funding is for Missouri Beef Industry Council Fiscal Year 2026 which spans from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. All payouts must be submitted for reimbursement prior to September 15, 2026.
Guidelines:
- Reimbursement is available to undergraduate and graduate program students and interns in Missouri Dietetics Programs for the purchase of educational materials, beef products, and ingredients to be used for presentation purposes only.
- Only presentations that use beef as their selected protein will qualify for funding.
- Each approved program and/or school (listed below) qualifies for up to $250 in reimbursements. Multiple students/teams from each school may receive funding, though total reimbursement amount may not exceed $250 for any one program/school.

- Northwest Missouri State University
- Southeast Missouri State University
- Missouri State University
- University of Missouri
- St. Louis University
- It is preferred that each team applying for funding designate one individual to submit receipts for reimbursement.
- An opportunity for three student groups to present about their project will be provided via a webinar in April or May 2026. The deadline to qualify for this opportunity is March 31, 2026.
- An honorarium of $50/selected group will be provided by Missouri Beef Industry Council
Steps to receive reimbursement:
- Develop a project description proposal and get it approved by professor(s).
- Submit application, including lesson plan and recipe(s), for review at least two weeks prior to presentation.
- MBIC may provide requested modifications before granting final approval.
- Purchase needed materials and ingredients for presentation, making sure to keep all receipts.
- Conduct presentation, documenting with photos and (optional) videos.
- Submit ALL of the following documentation within 10 days of presentation via the reimbursement form.
- Completed reimbursement and evaluation form.
- Copies of all receipts for qualifying reimbursements
- Copies of beef recipes, lesson plans and presentation outlines used.
- Photos of presentation (at least two)
*MBIC retains authority to withhold reimbursements for failure to comply with program guidelines and submission process as outlined above.
