Beef provides a great opportunity for students to learn new cooking techniques as well as the nutritional benefits of high quality protein. To support classrooms and their desire to make beef a part of the curriculum, we developed the Beef in the Classroom Grant.

Mo Beef for Mo Kids
The MoBeef for MoKids is a joint program of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, the Missouri Beef Industry Council, and Opaa Food Service. It is designed to increase the amount of Missouri-raised beef on the school lunch menu. For more information visit missourigrownusa.com.

Saint Louis Science Center
Saint Louis Science Center's GROW brings life on the farm and ranch to the city through interactive displays and activities. Beef is highlighted throughout the exhibit and shares the story of agriculture with over 1 million visitors each year.
Ag Education on the Move
Ag Education on the Move is a 10-week interactive agricultural education program for third grade classrooms in Missouri. The program identifies key classroom objectives and meets standards in science, math, reading, and writing.
In a collaborative effort, the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance and Discovery Education are engaging with urban youth and sharing the story of agriculture through a multi-modal curriculum.
Ag in the Classroom
Ag in the Classroom is a national program dedicated to providing agricultural based curriculum for teachers to incorporate into classrooms. In Missouri, Ag in the Classroom is coordinated through Missouri Farm Bureau.
