Missouri Beef Producer Relishes Role on National LevelColumbia, MO (AgNewsWire) A cattleman from Sedalia is representing Missouri on the national level on two different beef cattle organizations. David Dick, immediate past chairman of the Missouri Beef Industry Council, has been re-elected for a second term to serve on the Operating Committee for the Cattlemen’s Beef Board. The committee is made up of 20 cattle producer representatives who make decisions about how the $1 per head Beef Checkoff is spent on the national level. Dick has also been elected to represent Region Three for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). Dick says it’s important for Missouri to have a voice on the national level. Not only does Dick consider it a privilege to serve his fellow producers, he loves doing it. Dick says his main message to fellow producers in Missouri is to let him know what they think or if they have any questions they would like to have answered. "I’m not afraid to ask questions," he says. "I relish the opportunity and I certainly want to hear from them." Cattle producers can get a message to David Dick by contacting the Missouri Beef Industry Council office in Columbia or through the MBIC website, www.mobeef.org.![]() |
